• What exactly is Proper Nom?

Proper Nom exists to make whole ingredients worth getting excited about. We create seriously satisfying treats and savoury creations that celebrate bold flavour, creativity and curiosity.

• Where are you based?

We're based in Lancashire, where every Proper Nom order is made in small batches and packed by hand.

• What is a Date Night?

A Date Night starts with a Medjool date and becomes something completely indulgent.

Each one is hand-filled with thoughtfully chosen ingredients, topped and finished to create a seriously satisfying treat that's as beautiful as it is delicious.

• How should I store them?

We recommend keeping your Date Nights refrigerated for the best texture and freshness.

If you're enjoying them the same day, they'll be perfectly happy somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight.
For the best quality, keep them refrigerated and enjoy within 2 weeks.

• Are they suitable as gifts?

Absolutely. Many of our customers send Date Nights as thoughtful gifts, or simply treat themselves.

You can also add a personalised wooden gift tag with your own message, making them even more special for birthdays, celebrations or just because.

• Are they vegan?

Yes. All of our products are made using vegan ingredients in a kitchen where no animal products are used.

Some individual ingredients are produced by suppliers who also handle milk, which is why you may see a "may
contain milk" statement on certain products. This comes from the ingredient manufacturers rather than our own kitchen.

• Are they gluten free?

Yes. All of our Date Nights are made using gluten-free ingredients.

As someone who's coeliac myself, I understand just how important that is. Proper Nom is created with that understanding at its heart, and every ingredient is carefully chosen to
ensure it's suitable for a gluten-free diet.

• Do they contain allergens?

Yes. Different flavours contain different allergens.

• Which Date Night should I try first?

If it's your first Proper Nom order, we'd recommend starting with the Chocolate Truffle Date Night.

It's our signature flavour — the one that started it all. Rich, indulgent and seriously satisfying, it's the perfect introduction to what Proper Nom is all about. Once you've started there, the seasonal flavours are where the adventure really begins.

Day Dates are Proper Nom's everyday companion.

Built around the same beautiful Medjool dates, they're designed for those moments when you want everyday nourishment that still feels like a treat.

Thoughtfully filled, full of flavour and seriously satisfying, they're proof that everyday food can still be exciting.

Think of them as sisters.

Date Nights are layered, indulgent and dressed up for the occasion. Day Dates are made for everyday moments — whether that's your afternoon pick-me-up, a mid-morning coffee break or something delicious to keep you going.

Both start with the same extraordinary Medjool date. They just have a different personality.

Made with whole ingredients and designed with function in mind, they'll combine bold flavour with ingredients chosen to support energy, protein and lasting satisfaction.

Whether you're heading out on an adventure, recovering after exercise or simply need something that keeps up with your day, Power Dates are designed to work as hard as you do.

What are the Roasts?

Our Roasts are bold, flavour-packed blends of nuts and seeds, roasted with thoughtfully chosen ingredients to create something deeply delicious, crunchy and satisfying.

Snack them straight from the bag, scatter them over salads, soups or roasted vegetables, or use them anywhere that needs a proper upgrade.

• How should I store them?

Store your Roasts in the sealed pouch provided or transfer them to an airtight container. Keep them somewhere cool and dry. Each pouch is stamped with its own best-before date.

What is The Pantry?

The Pantry is where Proper Nom's curiosity spills over.

It's a growing collection of flavour-packed creations designed to bring a little more joy to everyday eating. Think rich spreads, bold condiments and delicious little extras that turn toast, porridge, yoghurt, fruit or a handful of crackers into something worth slowing down for.

• Orders

When will my order arrive?

We aim to dispatch all orders within 1–3 working days.

As soon as your parcel is on its way, you'll receive tracking information so you can follow its journey.

• Can I include a gift message?

Yes. You can add a personalised wooden gift tag to your order for a small additional cost.

We'll laser engrave your chosen message onto one of our signature wooden tags before adding it to your
box, making it perfect for birthdays, celebrations or simply letting someone
know you're thinking of them.

• Can I collect my order?

If you're local to Lancashire and would prefer to collect your order, just get in touch before placing your order.
